Our Story

Hi, Impact

We are Kevin, Lindsey, Simon, and Alfie..

In 2013, we started our lives in Florida as public school teachers in Palm Beach County. I had just finished a number of years in international schools, and Lindsey had finished her PhD from the best university in the world – the University of Michigan! (Go Blue!)

Things had been going well. A couple of months into our new careers, we bought a house. We made sure not to buy more house than we could afford, and each year we got a modest increase in our salaries. We saved a bit of money, made improvements to our house, and generally tried to live within our means. It seemed like the beginning of the American dream.

In 2015, we welcomed a new addition to our family – Simon. It has been a please to watch him grow and interact with the world. Unfortunately, additional family members means additions costs. We quickly began to realize it would prove diffifult to continue saving for retirement if we wanted to expand our family. We also started to worry about the future quality of education for our son.

Our solution was to teach overseas in International Schools. In essence, we are abandoning the American dream of a house, two cars, and 2.5 kids and start our own dream – living in exotic locations and experiencing new cultures all while becoming more and more financially stable. Since our move, we have added to our family! Alfie was born Christmas Eve, 2019.
